One of our favourite directors is David Cronenberg. We especially love Videodrome, Scanners, Existenz, Dead Zone, Crash, and The Fly. The Fly is our absolute favourite of those films. If you were born in 1950 you might recall the original version with the infamous scene where the scientist ends up with his head on a fly's body and is about to eaten by a spider and cries out "Help me!" in a tiny voice. But if you're an 80's fanatic like me then you might be more familiar with David Cronenberg's remake. It's like the original one except it's different, Jeff Goldblum doesn't end up with his head on a fly's body oh no- it's much worse he ends up turning into a really grotesque hybrid of human and fly. One crucial element that David Cronenberg never forgets to add in his movies is horrific transformations involving the body changing in really horrible ways (this type of transformation is known as either a Painful Transformation or Transformation Trauma, and is full of Body Horror).
It may have given quite a lot of viewers nightmares and Squicked them out, but it kind of inspired us. My brother owns a teleportation pod like the one Jeff has in the movie, and he actually lets me use it. Although my brother himself got the insane idea to recreate Jeff's experiment from the film and ended up turning into a clone of BrundleFly. It took four and a half weeks to figure out how to change him back into himself. The Fly has been satirised numerous times. On one episode of Beetleborgs, Flabber brings a sketch of a teleportation device to life with his magic and gives it a test run, a fly-like monster named Kombat Gnat (who has a lot of razor sharp teeth and the ability to shrink) gets into the machine, their dna gets merged together and Flabber ends up turning into it like Jeff Goldblum in the movie. However he gets turned back to normal in the end.
Some of our work feature a homage to The Fly. One of which is the episode of The Misadventures Of Doc M where I test out my brother's teleportation device and Chumsley the werejohncandy accidentally falls into the machine, our dna gets merged together and I end up slowly changing into Chumsley. It also happened to my brother one time, my brother was testing it out for the first time, just as soon as the machine starts the sequence he realises that his Buzz Lightyear action figure is in the machine with him and he ended up turning into a life sized Buzz Lightyear. It took a long time to figure out a way to change him back to normal in the end but luckily I found a way to do it. We turned most of him back to normal, except when he came out he still had the "wings" sticking out of his back (and he still does).

New movie releases
We've got some new movies out in theatres and here are a few of them:
- Life As A Grinch
Starring: Jim Carrey.
Genre: Horror comedy.
Rated: PG13.
Plot: This horror comedy features Jim Carrey as a man who discovers that he is a weregrinch. With transformation effects by Roc Hemmerson.
- Micro Mutants: The Movie
Starring the voices of: Me, my brother, Frank Welker, Kirsty Burvile, Sam Leno, Tyrone The Terrible and Andria Kilgor.
Genre: Animation/live action hybrid.
Rated: G.
Plot: Based on our popular toy range, Micro Mutants is the story of a group of 7 seemingly cute critters with the power to transform into super powerful evolved forms. Corrupt Corporate Executive Jonathan Stone plans to tear down an old farmhouse to make room for an amusement park, but the Micro Mutants gang think of a genius plan to save the farm.
- Meet Chumsley's Cousins
Starring: Chumsley the werejohncandy.
Genre: Comedy.

Plot: Everyone's favourite werejohncandy is back and better than ever in this zany comedy. Chumsley becomes a camp councellor and has to look after all of his kooky cousins and make sure that they don't cause or get into trouble. Hillitary insues.
- Funeral For A Goldfish
Starring: My brother Sampson.
Genre: Drama.
Rated: R.
Plot: This dark drama tells the tale of a man and his pet goldfish who unfortunately dies at a young age.
System failure
I have some really bad news.
My other computer died of system failure so I have to use this one. Unfortunately there are no music files on this one yet and I haven't uploaded all of my pictures yet. So it will take a while to get used to this one.
But at least I still have my blog and my deviantart profile.

Grinch photomanips
Here are some grinch themed photomanips we've done:
This one is called Full Moon Fever. Jim may have been a funny grinch in How The Grinch Stole Christmas but be warned... weregrinch bites and scratches are no laughing matter. Sure it's funny when it happens to someone else like Jim for example but you won't find it so funny if it was happens to YOU.
This is a morph of me into the Grinch. Jim Carrey once told me that grinchiness is contageous, but I didn't know if he was joking or not when he said it. This happened at Universal studios during the filming of the movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas. When we got back from the tour, I saw that our good friend Darwin "Captain Comedy" Chance had become a grinch himself- green fur, claws, and all. And then pretty soon I ended up catching grinchiness from him and started changing into a grinch myself. I guess Jim was NOT joking when he said grinchiness was contageous.
This one is titled The Grinch Is Out. You'll be surprised how many people I know are actually grinches.
This is called How The Weregrinch Stole Christmas. It's a poster for the movie we did of the same name. If you haven't seen the movie we suggest you see it right away, it's one of our best.
Monster factile: Chumsley
Today on Monster factfile we are going to tell about our beloved mascot Chumsley.
Description:
Our beloved mascot Chumsley (real name: Charles Huggington Jr) is a gentle, lovable magic werejohncandy who lives in the forest. He is very friendly and outgoing. Werejohncandies are a member of a subspecies of lycanthrope called Chubbanthropes (which is the same subspecies the werebelushi family belongs to). His name in Japanese is Kyrusukan which means peaceful giant.
Appearance:
He has many similarities to John Candy he even resembles him when in human form and in his natural werejohncandy form. His human form looks like Irv from Cool Runnings. In werejohncandy form he has thick shaggy brownish fur, glowing green eyes, black claws, a black nose, small cute fangs, bushy eyebrows, pointed ears and a long mane. He's pretty much a big hairy version of John Candy. He's 6'2 and 300lbs.
Personality:
Chumsley's personality is a composite of quite a few of John Candy's famous characters mainly Buck from Uncle Buck, Irv from Cool Runnings, Freddie Bauer from Splash, Barf from Spaceballs and Del from Planes, Trains and Automobiles. He is quite a gentle soul and would never hurt a fly, he is also very friendly and outgoing. He also is a bit clumsy but he is an overall lovable guy. He rarely ever gets mad at anyone, and is the non violent type.
Interests and hobbies:
Chumsley is a nature lover of sorts, he loves animals of all kinds especially pandas and koalas. His hobbies include singing, storytelling, art, poetry, and hanging out with his friends. His interests include art, music, and poetry. He has his own clubhouse just like Doizee and sometimes children visit him and he tells them a story or sings them a song. He also is a firm believer in the Zen philisophy and often meditates.
Talents and abilities:
Despite his size, Chumsley is quite strong and agile - he is also a skilled climber and swimmer. He is also remarkably intelligent. He is quite good at singing and is also very good at telling jokes and stories. He also has a black belt in martial arts and is very well mannered. He is also shown to be quite a good chef. He's also very good at helping people out and sometimes gives them advice. He also is quite a good actor and also has a knack for disguises.
Occupation:
In Chumsley and Friends our big furry friend has had a variety of different jobs. But for the most part he is an adventurer, he is always going on exciting adventures to different places around the world and on some occassions to another universe or dimension.
Family and Friends:
Chumsley has a rather big family and over 15 different relatives even though werejohncandies in general are an endangered species. He has lots of friends, both of the animal and human variety. His uncle happens to share the same name and personality as the title character from the film Uncle Buck.

The Micro Mutants movie
We've just released the movie Micro Mutants which is based on our most popular toy range.
The plot:
When a corrupt corporate executive plans to tear down an old farmhouse in order to have a theme park built there, the Micro Mutant gang and think up a plan to save it. Along the way we find out the origins of each one of them. They also get up to all sorts of wacky antics. Not only does this include all of the main Micro Mutants but we also get introduced to two new members.
