Squick, Nightmare Fuel and Fetish Fuel

Nightmare Fuel
Written by Werejoshpeckprince and the TV Tropers, this song is a parody of the song Toxic Love from Ferngully and is about the Nightmare Fuel/High Octane Nightmare Fuel trope entry on TVTropes.org, it mentions all the different categories including Western Animation, Real Life, Folklore, Film, Live Action TV, Disney movies, Toys, and Books as well as music videos. It has a number of pop culture references. The trope name Nightmare Fuel comes from Mystery Science Theatre 3000- in which the b grade sci fi/horror films they were forced to watch were anything but scary but the kiddie ones like Merlin's Shop Of Mystical Wonders on the other hand were very frightening indeed. Also it makes some mention of Transformation Traumas which is a horrific transformation into some kind of horrible monstrosity, Body Horror refers to grotesque and utterly disgusting mutations happening to someone's body as demonstrated in David Cronenberg's movies, the Demonic Toys part is a nod to movies like Child's Play, and the And I Must Scream trope that is mention get it's name from a book called I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream- to get a better understanding of what this bit is about- imagine what would it be like to be turned to stone or even frozen in carbonite like Han Solo. Nightmare Fuel refers to something that was unintentional scary and made for kids while High Octane Nightmare Fuel refers to anything that was intentionally made to be scary.

Fetish Fuel
The second parody of Toxic Love, this one was published on Whatfreaks by Werejoshpeckprince and the tv tropers. This one is the opposite of Nightmare Fuel. While Nightmare Fuel is unintentionally made to scare, Fetish Fuel is intentionally made to turn people on. I would list examples of this but some are just too dirty and sick to be mentioned.

Tim Curry
This parody of Valerie is about actor Tim Curry- there are two versions of this, the Amiright version has "Ham it up' in the chorus while the Whatfreaks version has "sex it up" .

Squick
Squick which is a parody of Swim by Madonna is a song about the kind of gross, disgusting and just plain icky stuff you see in pop culture. Now any movie by David Cronenberg is bound to have a LOT of this stuff in it.

Amiright the movie

In early summer 2008 we released a movie about the parodists and editors on Amiright, it was a fantasy sci fi epic just like the film Heavy Metal, each of them had their own segment.

Here's how they were portrayed in their respective segments:

  • Chucky G: A charismatic millionaire (the Steele Brigade segment).

  • Agrimorfee: A Clint Eastwood style cop (Larry Stone segment)

  • TSB: Geek turned superhero (Ben segment)

  • Red Ant: Ant-like alien (Voyage segment)

  • Jason: Space Commander (Voyage segment)

  • Chinstar: Lantern jawed space captain (Captain Starling segment)

  • Master Of Oz: Wiseman (Forbidden Land segment)

  • Darth Rangoon: Hanover Fist type character who turns into a monster (Captain Starling segment).

  • Dr Madness: The sum of all evils (Opening segment)

  • My brother and I: Spaceship engineers (Voyage Segment)

  • Andria: Green skinned warrior woman (Space Babe segment)

Creepy commercials

You what really creeps me out? Those commercials with food that appears to be sentient and able to talk! Talking food is really creepy.

One commercial that ALWAYS creeped me out as a kid were the Sugar Puffs adverts where there's some kid and there's a box of Sugar Puffs cereal and for some reason the kid tries to grab it but there's something that's preventing them from doing it so the kid yells...."I WANT MY...(in a gruff monster voice) HONEY!" and turn into this hairy yellow monster called the Honey Monster. Those adverts made me afraid of the Honey Monster for life.

Normally I like adverts where people turn into some kind of creature but those Sugar Puffs ones scared the hell out of me.

John Hughes

On Thursday 6th August 2009,director John Hughes passed away- the cause of death: a heart attack.

John Hughes was the genius behind Planes, Trains and Automobiles (which I read is both Steve Martin and John Candy's favourite one they've been in), Uncle Buck and Sixteen Candles. His movies had characters we could ALL relate to in one way or another. Me and my brother were a bit like Ferris Bueller when we were in school- we would often ditch school on Thursdays to go off and have fun- especially when there was a sci fi convention. We quit school at the age of 17. John Hughes showed us what high school was really like and this was before Hannah Montana or High School Musical ever existed.

Me and my brother had a small cameo appearance in Weird Science. But it's a "blink and you'll miss it one" soon you'd have to freeze frame the dvd to spot us.

His movies were inspirational even today they have a impact on pop culture. In fact our children's show the Doizee Club and the movies based on it are heavily inspired by the works of this movie making genius. Our mascot Chumsley the werejohncandy is a composite of quite a few characters played by John Candy, in particular Del Griffith (Planes, Trains and Automobiles)and Buck Rusell (Uncle Buck). It also kind of helps that Chumsley has an uncle who concidentally is named Buck and is just like the title character from the movie. He was voiced by John Candy himself in the PSA's and animated shorts we did featuring him in the early 80's.

We wrote a song parody about him on Amiright once, but sadly when we got "banned" (which I think was unfair seeing as we didn't do anything wrong) All of our work got deleted including those cute songs we wrote about Chumsley (including the Chumsley and Friends theme song). The parody was called What's Your Fave John Hughes Movie and it was a parody of Don't You Forget About Me from The Breakfast Club. Most of the song parodies we did are included in our Greatest Hits cd- it's a 2 disc set. It has all the song parodies we have written and performed plus some megaremixes and some unreleased tracks such as a Chucky G Tribute song called the Mighty Chuck which is also a nod to an animated show we did called The League Of Parodists it features various Amiright Alumni as superheroes (Chucky G's the leader).

John Hughes is gone but not forgotten. We have recently made a Ferris Bueller cuddle buddy.

The potion

We recently released a book of potion recipes, most of the ingredients for our potions come from various chemistry sets, while some are exotic food components from a place called Marzipan City.

You know that John Candyification potion we once tried to sell you guys on Amiright? It actually DOES work. The special ingredient is in fact love, and John Candy's sweat, as well as an exotic ingredient called Cinamini.

My actually transformation INTO John is a slow and gradual morphing process even though it could be considered similar to a Hulk-Out sequence.

Late Night Kids

Late Night Kids

This is a series of stories I’ve written about Little Jay and his friends.

Characters:
  • Little Jay

A cute cartoon version of Jay Leno, Little Jay is a little kid with a big chin and a heart to match it. Little Jay likes to tell jokes, play and have fun and acts as the official leader of the group of friends. Little Jay loves to eat anything with meat in it and he doesn't like vegetables as revealed in one episode when the "Nanny" tries to make him eat broccoli. Little Jay loves riding around on his mini motorcycle and playing with his toy cars which he has a lot of. In the Christmas episode he wrote a list for Santa consisting of various toy cars, motorcycles, and meat products.

  • Kevin

Little Kevin is Jay's sidekick, he loves to play the drums and thinks Jay is the funniest kid in the world. Kevin is often refered to as Kev by Jay. In the Christmas episode he plays the part of the Little Drummer boy in the Christmas pagent.

  • John and Ross

Lil John and Ross are Jay's two other best friends, both of them like to have a lot of fun with little Jay although sometimes Lil John is sometimes made fun of by the others.

  • Lil Davey Letterman

Little Jay's best friend and sometimes playful rival Davey is a gap toothed goofball who loves to have lots of fun. His hobby is writing top ten lists of things, in the Christmas special he wrote a really long list for Santa which had more than 10 items on it.

  • Paul

Little Paul is Davey's sidekick, he loves to play the keyboard. He loves hanging out with his friends and sometimes helps out.

  • Little Johnny

The original leader of the Late Night Kids gang before he handed the title to Jay. Little Johnny is quite special, he's not only a good comedian he's also a great storyteller and his favourite game to play is a fortune telling game where he plays a character called Carnac the psychic kid.

  • Ed

Ed is Little Johnny's happy go lucky sidekick, he laughs at all his friend's jokes and loves to laugh.

  • Conan

Little Conan is a red haired scamp with long legs and a quirky sense of humour. He loves to play around with Little Jay sometimes and often fills in as leader when he isn't feeling well. Little Conan's favourite toy is Triumph The Comic Insult Puppy, a talking dog puppet that has two modes: Nice, and rude.

  • Max

Little Conan's best friend, loves to play musical instruments just like Kevin and Paul.

  • Jimmy

Little Jimmy Fallon is one of the two new additions to the Late Night Kids gang, he is shy and a little bit naive and he isn't quite as funny as the other members of the group but he's quite a good learner.

  • Stevie

Little Stevie Colbert is the other new addition to the gang and possibly the most patriotic, he loves all things patriotic and American. His favourite toy is a flying toy eagle he calls Stevie II. Sometimes he comes across as a bit of a jerk but he's an overall inspirational kid. In the Christmas episode he writes a list for Santa consisting of patriotic items such as a Captain Americana action figure. He also has a dislike for bears so unlike most kids he doesn't sleep with a teddy bear, he sleeps with a plush groundhog. His favourite superhero is Captain Americana. He sometimes dressess up as him and pretends that he's a superhero.
