An annoucement

I've decided to stop whining and start having fun,   because there's well no point in arguing with the likes of people on Metokur who I think are absolute morons -  same with Encyclopedia Dramatica for that matter.

You meet all sorts of weirdos online,   and some are just plain stupid -  there are so many clever quotes about stupid people and I'd like to share some of them with you.

"To accuse another of having weak kidneys, lungs, or heart, is not a crime; on the contrary, saying he has a weak brain is a crime. To be considered stupid and to be told so is more painful than being called gluttonous, mendacious, violent, lascivious, lazy, cowardly: every weakness, every vice, has found its defenders, its rhetoric, its ennoblement and exaltation, but stupidity hasn't."  -   Primo Levi.

"The key to the age may be this, or that, or the other, as the young orators describe; the key to all ages is -- Imbecility; imbecility in the vast majority of men, at all times, and, even in heroes, in all but certain eminent moments; victims of gravity, custom, and fear."  -  Ralph Waldo Emerson.

"To be stupid, and selfish, and to have good health are the three requirements for happiness; though if stupidity is lacking, the others are useless."  -  Gustav Flaubert.

'The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity."   Harlan Ellison.

"Half the world is composed of idiots, the other half of people clever enough to take indecent advantage of them"  -    Walter Kerr.

I  can honestly say that most if not all these are disturbing accurate.    I am really starting to learn a lot more about people both online and offline.    I seem to be discovering something every day.
