Uncle Buck remake

Have you heard that they're remaking Uncle Buck and that Dan Fogler plans on playing the title character?.

Uncle Buck is a classic, timeless movie by John Hughes, and Buck is John Candy's best role in my opinion. Who wouldn't want a guy like him for an uncle, dad, or neighbour? I think that remaking it would be a very very bad idea. It would be an insult to the memory of John Hughes and John Candy. There was ALREADY a tv show spinoff of the movie and it wasn't near as good as the movie- probably because the title character was not played by John Candy.

Uncle Buck has to be our favourite John Candy film, it's a very nice movie and the noises that broken down car of his makes are hillarious. John Candy's character is in fact part of the inspiration for our mascot Chumsley the werejohncandy. Chumsley's personality is a composite of quite a few John Candy characters including Del, Irv, Freddie Bauer, Ox, and Buck. In fact Chumsley's uncle happens to be named Buck and is a lot like the one from the movie. In our newest cartoon series Bonzi's Treehouse there is a character named Uncle Kong who is basically John Candy as a talking gorilla.

We like the movie as it is, there is nothing they can do to improve it- it's perfect just the way it is just like the Never Ending Story.
