Despite what Anon said, this blog is in no way an emo blog and i am not emo either, i don't do all those things that some people think emos do like cutting yourself and all that - those are just crude stereotypes, i know that knives are dangerous and one should not play with them, i only use a knive for cuting food and nothing else - certainly not for killing people or anything.
Also while it was true i wear black sometimes, i'm not emo in the least bit, while it is true i did go through a Goth phase in 2001-2007 that was only because i wanted to be like the character Merton from the show Big Wolf On Campus. It's also mainly because in a way to emulate the style of my favorite American Idol judge - and by in the if you are wondering who it is - it's Simon. And by the way i am not obsessed with him or anythin g and despite what Anon said i have no intention of morphing into a "Were-" version of him, even though it was mighty nice of her to say that and to call me a snake on slapstick anarchy - seriously, that was a pretty high and awesome compliment - i like snakes as they are some of my favorite animals and i like Simon as he is one of my favorite celebrities (hence why one of the villains in my Carlos Castaneda fan story series is a male Naga appropriately named Cowellconstrictor, as the waist up he looks like Simon and he also has Simon's personality and his voice).
And also i haven't heard of the band My Chemical Romance and while i have heard of Linkin Park, i don't listen to them that much. My music tastes are different - i like Elvis, David Bowie, Meatloaf, Kiss, Metallica, Alice Cooper, MJ, Madonna, Cher, Rolling Stones, The Blues Brothers, Iron Maiden, Creature Feature and even bands like Aqua and Westlife. I used to be a Spice Girls fan too.
Yes it's true i do love monsters and other scary things as well as horror movies, I used to be a fan of the Goosebumps book series along with my friend who was also a fan of the series - so much so that she had all the books and the tv show episodes on video. All of them worked except for A Night In Terror Tower and that was an american VHS and wouldn't work on the VHS player that only played videos from England or Australia. I wanted to collect all the books, the only ones i had in the series was the original Monster Blood and Monster Blood II. My favorite episodes of the series were definitely Night Of The Living Dummy III, The Haunted Mask, Werewolf Of Fever Swamp, Vampire Breath and One Day At Horrorland. Now Night Of The Living Dummy III and Haunted Mask were special because at the beginning they had R.L Stine (the author of the books) doing the introduction at the beginining and at the end (he also did the intro for Haunted Mask II, Werewolf Of Fever Swamp and A Night On Terror Tower). One thing that i could never figure out and it still perplexes me to this day is about that spot in the middle of his forehead, i'm very curious - i don't know if it's a birthmark, zit or anything like that - i tried finding it out on google but i couldn't get any results.
As for other horror books, i did receive a copy of Bram Stoker's Dracula for my birthday back in 1998 when my family and i were on holiday here in New Zealand, that is what kind of fueled my interest in vampires along with Buffy the vampire slayer. And no i'm not a Twilight fan, I have heard of the books and the films but i have never read the books or seen the movies, i'm not really interested in them and from what i've been hearing they don't seem all that great and i don't really get why they're so popular. I feel the same way about Hannah Montana, High School Musical and any other teenbop thing the Disney Channel makes, i just don't get why some kids enjoy them so much.
There was a group of kids at Wairau Valley (the school i used to go to) - big kids mind you, who would dance to music during the breaktime. Mainly because they were practicing for jump jam which i' m ashamed to say i took part in where you have to dance to songs like Witch Doctor and follow the dance moves of the instructor, but also because music helps calm their leader (the always angry and not to mention quite scary looking) Sally down.
I have quite a few horror books I enjoy reading including the Tales Of Horror series which are sort of books that tell you all sorts of interesting facts about monsters, the ones i have are Werewolves, Monsters, Vampires, and Ghosts - i hope to get the ones on Aliens and Zombies soon.
I also have the Dungeons and Dragons monster manual, i personally like the werecreatures they have on their lycanthrope entry including weretigers, wereboars and wererats. Coinicidentally, my friends and I used to do a bit of role-playing where we would play werecreatures - Jason would be the were-eagle guy, Eben would be the werebear guy and I would be the were-rat. I then later used my skills as a writer to type up a script based on this little werecreature game of ours - starring my wererat character - who had a little brother of her own (another wererat) both of them were rogues and their main arch enemy would be a wererat nobleman type. Although now I think Jason is more of a Werejoshpeck because he really does resemble a pre weight loss Josh Peck and has some of his mannerisms too.
I also worked on several National Lampoon's Animal House fan episode scripts if you will, and my character was a member of the Delta House - she was a female werebelushi named Scarlett, and she would serve as a female counterpart to Bluto (John Belushi's character) - and yes, she does have an uncle named Jake but not Crazy Jake like on the Blues Brothers forum but rather Greasy Jake - a werebelushi who is the owner and manager of the Greasy Jake's fast food joint - which in a way was sort of our very own parody of McDonalds and Burger King. My friend David and I had a lot of fun writing up the episodes, one of the episodes i enjoyed writting the most was the one where Scarlett turns into a Full Werebelushi on a full moon night and goes berserk, scaring the hell out of everyone in the Omega house as well as Dean Wormer, i had a lot of fun writing the transformation sequence for that - i made it sort of painful and at the same time funny - the part where she gains 500lbs was the most fun as was the clothes ripping, i put some detail into doing the quills growing out of her back part. And later on i would more transformation sequences like that, like in the Halloween special transcript - and to add an extra belushi homage - she was dressed as a Samurai Blues Brother (a combination of Jake Blues and Samurai Futaba). Also in an episode of the Blues Brothers fan series i wrote my character Elliot gets transformed into a werebelushi after one of her friends the half cyborg blues brother played by David breaks the rules of the cursed town of Belushitaria, which Elliot is blamed for and is turned into a werebelushi as a punishment. In another episode David's character discovers a Belushitarian incantation which can be used to trigger involuntarily transform said werebelushi into werebelushi form, one part of the incantation translates as "be belushi". Elliot does turn into a full werebelushi in two other episodes as well, one of which is the nightmares episode where after the band eats some really badly cooked food from a lackluster eating establishment simply known as I Can't Believe They Call This A Restraunt, each of them has a nightmare which is to do with the one thing they fear the most - Elliot one fear is the fear of losing control of her werebelushi instincts and her nightmare shows her in a movie directed by John Landis and she loses control of her werebelushi instincts which causes her to become a full werebelushi during filming and to wreak havoc on the set. In the other episode she turns into a Full werebelushi in - she gets frustrated while trying to repair the half cyborg blues brother (David's character) who is malfunctioning and this malfunction causes him to go into Jerk Mode and to insult her, after numerous attempts at trying to reset him back to his normal Nice Mode - she gets frustrated and that night she turns into a Full Werebelushi and goes on a full scale city rampage.
It is also noted that I played both characters in their respective "series" episodes. Also Scarlett has her own little "lackeys" in the series, their names are Grunt and Rangoon, they first appeared in the episode which tells the story of how Scarlett first joined the Delta house which had her first transformation into her werebelushi form in it.
There was supposed to be an episode where she gets brainwashed and turns into a Wild Werebelushi of sorts and tries to attack her friends, but i never got around to writting it.
I think one of the members of the Gamma house was a Werejohncandy, his name was Bounder and he served as a bouncer for the little club most of the other members belonged to. There was a Grinch guy in Alpha house - his name was Greenleaf, Jester and his sister were also were-grinches but Greenleaf was the main one.
Bloodhound, who is David's character in the series was part vampire part werewolf. I remember his name was Aaron Dracula.
There was also one this one member of the Alpha house named Alistair Cowell - he was the nephew of American Idol judge Simon Cowell and his nickname was Menace, in addition to being like his uncle right down to the brutal honesty - he also knew a bit about the dark arts and was sort of a warlock in training.
There was a zombie girl named Siren and she was quite similar to the corpse bride and she was the girlfriend of a zombie guy in alpha house - said zombie guy was named Zombo like the one in my closet monster gang.
