Green Moon Rising

I hope you like this little horror story,  it's set on Christmas Eve and pays homage to the beginning and end of Michael Jackson's Thriller music video -  except with me in the place of MJ,  Andria in the place of Ola Ray and with me turning into a Weregrinch rather than a werecat.

-------------------------

It was Christmas Eve, and me and Andria Kilgore were in the car, on the way to a big Christmas eve party at a friend's house - we seemed to be making record time - but unfortunately the car ran out of gas.

"Honestly... we're out of gas." I told her.

"So. What are we going to do now?" Andria inquired.

The two of us got of the car and went for a walk in the moonlight woods.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you." She said.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"What?" She responded.

"You know I like you don't you?" I inquired.

"Yes." She replied.

"And I hope you like me, the way I like you." I told her.

"Yes." She replied.

"I was wondering if...if you would be my friend." I responded.

"Oh Nathan!" She exclaimed.

We hugged eachother in a best friends sort of way for a brief second. I gave Andria a present, she opened the gift and inside it was a Best Friends Forever TY Beanie bear.

"It's beautiful." She cooed, admiring the gift.

"Now it's official." I responded. "I have something I want to tell ya."

"Yes, Nathan?" She inquired.

"I'm not like other guys." I warned her.

"Of course not, that's why I like you." She responded.

"No...I mean i'm different." I told her.

"What are you talking about?" She inquired.

Just then the moon came out from behind the clouds.

"Ooh..aaah!" I yelped as I doubled over in pain.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"GO AWAY!!!!" I growled, in a deeper more bestial voice - looking up at her with yellow grinch-like eyes and sharp white fangs.

Andria looked in horror as I started to transform into a weregrinch, my face slowly becoming grinch-like, my ears stretching out and becoming pointed, green fur growing on my face, hair turning into the texture and consistancy of grinch hair before growing into a long wild mane and turning green, eyebrows going all bushy and green, the tip of my nose turning black and shifting upwards as a grinch-like muzzle formed on my face, then my hands became more grinch-like with green fur growing on the palms as my fingernails grew into long sharp claws, same with my feet too - when the changes were complete, I was a fully transformed weregrinch - and I growled as I looked at my more grinch-like hand.

She ran away further into the woods, and I now a fully transformed weregrinch looked both ways and tried to find her, i then started to run after her - knocking over a Christmas tree that happened to be in my way, letting out a low menacing roar at the full moon, I eventually caught up with her and leaped in front of her - knocking her down, and I roared as I reached for her with my clawed grinch-like hands - and I roared again as i was about to move in on her... but that is..

She escaped and hid in the old Psycho house, I caught up with her once more and was about to attack when.. she awoke - screaming in terror.

"Aaah!" She screamed, still a little jittered.

"What's the problem?" I asked.

Andria calmed down and looked around and saw that everything looked normal, i wasn't in weregrinch form - and it was like nothing happened at all.

"Come on, i'll take you home." I said.

I began to pick up Andria off the couch and began to walk her home.. but then I turned around revealing my yellow grinch-like eyes and a rather grinchy smile on my face.

Turns it it was all a dream.......or was it?

The amazing Space Cat

This is one of the transformation stories featured in my gallery on Deviantart,  it's also frequently seen in both the MJJackson4ever group and the Metamorphosis Group.    It features my old friend Kirsty Burvile,  and to commerate the late Michael Jackson incorporates the film Captain EO and it's characters including the Captain himself into the story.    In this story Kirsty joins the captain on his quest and becomes a cat-like alien similar to the Captain's lovable sidekick Fuzzball except taller and with a lion-like mane.

---------

Kirsty Burvile was at Disneyland with her family, waiting in line for the Captain EO Tribute.

Being a huge fan of MJ she was extremely psyched about it as was her older brother Daniel.

"This is gonna be so awesome!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, and especially seeing as the special effects have been enhanced." Her brother responded.

When the rest of the people in line had gone in, it was their turn and they walked to see the show.

Kirsty and her family sat there and watched the amazing Captain EO Tribute, but halfway through the film, Captain Eo and his loyal crew were cornered by the alien queen's guards.

"Uh oh. What are we going to do?" One of the two bird-like aliens asked.

"Panic!" the other one replied.

"We're going to need help from the other side." Captain Eo explained. "Leave it to me."

Captain Eo clicked his fingers and magically teleported himself out of the movie screen.

"Are you Kirsty Burvile?" He asked.

"Yes. I am. How do you know my name?" She replied.

"I am Captain EO. And right now my crew and I need your help." He responded, smiling. "Will you join us?"

"Sure! That sounds great. " She exclaimed.

Captain EO spun around, clicked his fingers and shot a beam of light at the screen, a big swirling portal opened up.

Instantly she was transported into the world of Captain EO and his alien friends.

"Woah. This is awesome!" She cooed. "I love it."

"The best is yet to come." Captain EO responded, smiling.

His hands lit up with almost magical energy as he looked at her, and with a wink of an eye - he shot a magical blast in her direction.

"Hehehe. That tickled." She laughed.

She began to feel a tingling sensation all over as red fur started to sprout while her skin started to turn a pale cremish colour, she was starting to transform into a creature similar to the captain's sidekick.

"I never knew this was part of the movie." She exclaimed.

Her hands and feet were becoming slightly paw-like, similar to Fuzzball's, also two butterfly-like wings had sprouted out of her back, her ears shifted to the top of her head and resembled Fuzzball's ears, she also grew a long rat-like tail.

"Eeeee! I'm becoming so cute!" She exclaimed, her voice sounding higher in pitch.

Her features became more feline as she started to resemble Fuzzball even more, she was having so much fun she didn't mind the fact that she was turning into a creature of the same species as him.

When the transformation was complete, she was now a creature similar to Fuzzball except a lot taller and with a lion-like mane.

"Aaaaw! Isn't she cute?" One of the bird-like aliens cooed.

"She sure is. Welcome aboard Kirsty." Captain EO responded.

"Thank you Captain EO!" She exclaimed. "This is the best thing that ever happened to me."

Kirsty also saw that she was now wearing a special armoured uniform with tiger-like stripes on it.

And so the Captain, his crew and the newly transformed Fuzzballian battled the alien queen's guards, restored the beauty within, and saved the galaxy.

And as for the rest of Kirsty's family, they were so impressed by this that they talked about it for weeks afterwards.

The end.

Werecat mj

We hope that you will enjoy this Michael Jackson tribute poem,  it pays homage to Thriller.

When the full moon is up in the sky.
That's where Michael can be found.
He is a werecat, always on the prowl.
But don't be frightened, he just wants to play.

With his yellow cat eyes, whiskers, claws and fur.
He is ever so playful and nice.
He wouldn't hurt a fly.
A most lovable werecat indeed.

When the full moon arrises..
MJ transforms into a slinky feline.
Just like the hero from that show Manimal.
Because he's a werecat.

He loves to explore, he loves to play.
Such a playful werecat.
Likes to play around.
He brings joy wherever he goes.

He's ever so merry and cuddly.
Wouldn't  hurt a fly.
Michael the werecat is oh so cute.
Prowling around all night long.

Michael the werecat is ever so friendly.
Wouldn't hurt a fly.
Wild, but can easily be tamed.
Yowling, hissing and purring.
His cat eyes darting back and fourth.
His fur shimmering so brightly in the moonlight.
He's prowling around looking for some fun.
But he's not scary, he's rather cute.

Michael the werecat loves to play.
Such a jokester, but oh so sweet.
He may look like a monstrous beast.
But don't be frightened, he just wants to play.

Smoke and mirrors

First of all we would like to say sorry for the delay,  the power went out 5 hours earlier today and it was a really scary experience.

Today's post is all about the special effects industry -  in particular the makeup and special fx departments.

Our favourite makeup and special fx artists are Tom Savini,  Rick Baker,  and the late Stan Winston.

This is a part of our collection of our issues of Makeup Artist Magazine,  it's a fantastic magazine that comes to us monthly and it's all about makeup and special fx.

You can get a subscription for this fantastic magazine here:

Stan Winston worked with Michael Jackson on the short film Ghosts which was a really amazing halloween themed video.     MJ played 5 characters in the movie.

The makeup in Ghosts was so incredible it was mind blowing.   Now you may not know this but the hefty, middle aged white guy in the photo there is actually Michael -   and no i'm not joking.     That is Michael in makeup as the "Mayor"  character  -  some people could not tell it was him -  in fact some people on youtube say the mayor looks like Roger Ebert the film critic.   In fact, in a review of "Ghosts"  on the site Agony Booth the reviewer refers to the Mayor as "Mayor Ebert" - a nod to the fact that the 1998 Godzilla movie in which the mayor of the city was named Mayor Ebert and looked a lot like the film critic Roger Ebert.  According to Ritchie Alonzo (the guy who created the Mayor makeup) in the August 2009 issue of Makeup Artist Magazine -    Michael went out as the "Mayor"  character.

I have done the exact same thing with some of my disguises several times,   such as when I went as John Candy for halloween a couple of years ago - I was very convincing - I looked like the real thing (one person even walked to me and said that they loved me in Uncle Buck and Planes, Trains and Automobiles).   That's where my John Candy impersonation came in handy,   i've been practicing my impersonation of his voice for years and  I can do his laugh as well -  i first developed my JC impersonation on the comedy sketch show Comic Calamity.    I wore a special John Candy likeness makeup for the occasion (which looked exactly like the real JC)  which we also use for werejohncandy makeups -  the Chumsley and Cassie makeup appliances are now on display in the makeup and special effects area of our lab.

in Leno (2008)  I not only played Tonight Show host Jay Leno (both young Jay and present Jay) but I also played several of his old tonight show sketch characters.   I had a special Jay Leno likeness makeup for both the stage and film versions - complete with the famous chin.   Again it was so convincing that not many people could tell it was me - they thought it was the real Jay Leno.    One of the differences between the stage version and film version is that the stage version has two additional Jay characters Johnny Allegro and Bob Johnson.    You may recall a publicity stunt I did where I went out as "Jay" and interviewed people on the street like Jay does in the Jaywalking segment of his show.

The "Leno" makeup appliance can be seen in the makeup and special effects area of our lab.    There's also a Bruce Campbell likeness one which is used for the Evil Dead stunt show that is seen in the masters of horror wing of our theme park/museum,  and for disney fans there are character likeness makeups we did of Gaston (Beauty And The Beast),  Kronk (Emperor's New Groove) and Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story).

Michael Jackson tribute toons

We discovered this website called Sil's Michael Jackson Funatic Art Gallery. On this site are galleries of cute cartoons featuring caricatures of the late king of pop. We thought it would be
nice to share some of them.

This first one is called The Bloody. Michael is dressed in the posh red suit he wore in the Blood On The Dance Floor music video. My brother happens to own a suit like that one.

This next one is called The Ghost's Beast. It's of Michael as the superghoul from Ghosts- he played 5 characters in total, the Maestro, The Mayor, the skeleton, the superghoul and the ghoul Mayor. Ghosts has to be our favourite MJ video. We like it when he turns into the superghoul. That's why we have the superghoul as one of the additional monsters for the monster morpher.

This one is called the MIB. And it's of Michael as Agent M in Men In Black II. If you are wondering what MIB stands for- it's Men In Black.

This is called The Angel and it features Michael as an angel. It isn't lovely? We certainly think so.

RIP Moonwalker

Dear Reader,
I'm sorry to say that the post you are looking at now is extremely unpleasant. It tells an happy tale about the death of one of pop's most beloved superstars. Even though he was charming and wonderful, Michael Jackson's life was full of troubles and strife. From the very first page of this post when I describe his music, continuing on through the entire post, there's magic on every corner. One might say he was a magnet for good fortune.
In this post alone, this describes the life and times of the late pop legend Michael Joseph Jackson, a man who's known for his music, dancing, and eccentric but charming nature.

It is my sad duty to write down this unpleasant tale, but there is nothing stopping you from pressing the back button at once and reading something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.
With all due respect, Dr Music.

I appologise for the rather sad introduction but today is a rather good day to be sad and here's why....yesterday, legendary popstar Michael Joseph Jackson died of a cardiac arrest. That's right, the king of pop has passed away, as of yesterday he is deceased...a word which here means..."pushing up daisies". Michael was famous for many things but mainly for his music and dancing. His 1982 album Thriller became one of the best selling albums of all time. Even now the title song can be heard being played at halloween parties. Michael was an inspiration to us all. No matter what people said about him, he always managed to look on the bright side. It was a very sad day for fans everywhere when he died.

Michael's dancing was special- supernatural in fact. Michael was a gifted dancer as well as a brilliant singer. His soothing angelic voice and graceful gravity defying dance moves were remarkable- a word which here means..."simply flawless and magnificent".

Michael was adored by lots of people despite the fact he was some what eccentric. Michael loved children and animals. He was a real life Willy Wonka. Which is probably why Johnny Depp's portrayal of Willy in Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory was based on him.

So in today's post, we honour this late great pop legend. We'll be paying tribute to him in our own special way.

Michael was unique, kind of like Uniqua from the Backyardigans. Michael will live on forever in our hearts.

R.I.P Michael, you truly were magnifcent. Also, when you get to Heaven, tell John Candy we said hi.

King Of Pop

I read some shocking news about Michael Jackson, a report on some website said that his voice isn't really high pitched after all and that's it's actually rather deep. Now I find this very hard to believe, i've listened to mostly all of Michael's songs and his voice is deffenatley high pitched (like almost on the same level as John Kassir who is the voice of Crypt Keeper in Tales from the crypt) and never have I heard him sing in a deep voice before- ever. Sure he sounds more aggressive in some of his songs (e.g most of the ones on the Invincible album, Dirty Diana on the Bad album and quite a few on Dangerous) but one thing I know for sure is that he hasn't got a deep voice at all- it's actually rather nice and soathing. Michael's a talented performer, he's timeless, he's an inspiration to singers of today, he's a pop culture icon. Michael has actually got quite a nice voice and I don't care what anyone else says about him- he's the best, always will be. I know there's been a lot of rumours, speculacion and superstition around him in the past but the very notion of him actually have a deep voice is weird and riddiculous beyond all reason. Michael has quite a nice voice and is such a great person, he's a dedicated father- he loves children and animals, he's a recluse- but he's a friendly recluse, he's done so much charity work, he's got a great imagination he's a gifted dancer and a talented person in general. His music videos are genius especially Thriller, Black Or White (which caused some controversy I've heard) Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, and Ghosts (which was a full length movie). His cameo as Agent M in Men In Black II is nothing short of amazing- he gets to do a comedic line or two. And he's one of the best unlockable characters in Ready To Rumble Round 2 (he's my best character in the game, I completeled arcade mode more than 3 times with him, he's one of the fastest boxers in the game, and the fact he provides his own voice just adds more awesome to the mixture). Sure people make many wisecracks about him because he's had more than a few plastic surgery operations done to his face (e.g some say his nose is made of rubber) and sure some people refer to him think that he's crazy and refer to him as "Wacko Jacko" , sure he's quite eccentric but he's like a real life Willy Wonka (so much so that is said that Johnny Depp's version of Willy Wonka in Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory was based on him) and is quite easy to see the parrallels between him and Johnny Depp's version of Willy Wonka (e.g both of them had a tough childhood, both of them are eccentric and just love children, and both of them are quite well known). Johnny's version of the famous chocolate factory owner even looks and sounds like Michael. Michael is so well known throughout the world/universe that it would be impossible to find someone who doesn't know who he is. Like David Bowie, Michael is a talented musician and also a master of disguise. Michael is a pure unparalled paragon of coolness- he's beyond cool. He's a true visionary and is extremely creative. Michael is truly one of the greatest singers on the face of the earth (second only to Elvis, Tom Jones, and the Rat Pack). Michael is so graceful when he's dancing, the first time he did the moonwalk was simply a magical moment for all who saw it (he's walking forwards, but it gives the allusion that he is walking backwards, it's like magic). Michael is full of surprises, he's just magical. He's like a magician, you might never know what tricks he has up his sleeve. He's got a silky smooth quality in his voice and swan-like grace on the dancefloor, and an impish charm that makes him unique. He truly is unique, and he has a Peter Pan-like mystique that makes him charming and fun. He's truly one-of-a-kind, there will never be another guy like him. I personally believe he is innocent of all charges. I refuse to believe any rumours regarding me such as the one I mentioned at the start about him actually having a deep voice not a high pitched one- which I think is false and a load of a baloney. Michael's voice is silky smooth and deffinately not deep in any way. And if Michael himself is reading this, tell him I said hi and that he's the greatest. He's a Thriller, a Smooth Criminal, he's Invincible, he's Off The Wall, and he's the king of pop. Michael is the best no matter what they say.

Michael Jackson is the best singer ever. Nuff said.

There's a Michael Jackson fansite my brother and I went on a long while ago, i think it was on geocities- and one of the sections had photomanipulated pictures of him as a vampire. I don't remember what it was called but i think it was something like Dark Side Of Michael Jackson. Someday we'll find it.
