We've got some sizzling hot photomanips of me as Gaston. There are so many of them that we couldn't decide on which ones to use. So here's just a few of our best ones.

Jack Black: Tenaciously Awesome

This is a tribute to the most awesome comedian/rocker ever- Jack Black of Tenacious D. Tenacious D is the best band ever. We love Jack Black's movies. Jack's like this generation's John Belushi/Chris Farley. We saw him on the Tyra Banks show with Ben Stiller, they were talking about Tropic Thunder (which by the way was awesome). Jack Black's really really funny. You know, me and my mates went to a Tenacious D concert once. The D performed Tribute, Wonder Boy, F**K her Gently, Kielbasa, Lee, and a couple of songs from the Tenacious D movie. It was like totally awesome. My mother met Jack once at a museum, I think it was an art museum, unfortunately she didn't get his autograph which I am still miffed about. Mom says he came across as a very nice person. He had short hair that day, wore sandals, shorts, and a blue shirt. My mom's sister and niece were there too. There was also this blond dude with Jack at the time, we're not sure who he was but he might have been Owen Wilson.

This is Jables Jr. A plush doll we did of Jack Black. Jables Jr is kind of similar to the Jittery Jack Black Electronic Plush we did. As you can see in this photo, he is not wearing pants- this is simply because he doesn't like wearing them he prefers to run around like crazy with no pants on. He is twice as hyperactive as Jack Black himself and says quite a few amusing JBisms when you squeeze his hand and also makes zany noises like that sound effects man from Police Academy- he also yells "CAFFEINE!" a lot. His favourite drink is coffee and he'll go absolutely crazy for anything caffeine related. Jables Jr also has a friend named Kage, who comes with him. The two of them interact with eachother and sing songs- mainly Tenacious D songs. We did do this really funny video featuring him and Kage and lip sincing the Gaston song from Beauty And The Beast. The toy in the background is a Sweet Talkin Puss In Boots plush from Shrek 3.

This is a character my brother plays when we do role-playing. I play a werejohncandy named Sampson who works as a chef, and my brother plays the villain- a maniacal werejackblack named Ax. My brother is exceptional good at being evil when it comes to this part, heck he even does his own villain song. He does tend to get carried away sometimes, on one ocassion he actually transformed INTO the character and it was quite a traumatic transformation for him too. Luckily during that time I was turned into my character, although my character is more of a gentle giant than a fighter- because our friend Sam Leno/Chinstar plays the hero character (who is a lantern jawed marksman who resembles Gaston from Beauty And The Beast). We have action figures of our role play characters. Also we have a great electronic bust of the character my brother plays, when people walk past it's eyes glow and it cackles insanely like the Crypt Keeper and then says "I AM AX! BOW BEFORE MY AWESOME EVILNESS!", and when an intruder comes by he shouts "HALT! YOU CANNOT ENTER THIS ROOM! FOR IN THIS ROOM IS THE MOST TERRIFYING THING YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE. DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER, IF YOU DO YOU WIL FACE CERTAIN DOOM!" in a hammy manner and then laughs maniacally.

Jack is a good mate of ours too, he voices a character or two in some of our animated shows. In Biker Mice Extreme he voices two characters good guy Plutarkian Mikey Motzerella and Eddie the yeti-like alien from the Planet Rockstaria. He is also the voice of a koala version of himself in Millitary Koalas. We like working with him, it's fun just like it is when we're working with Tim Curry. It's always a blast having these actors doing guest appearances in our cartoon shows. We've got a lot of interesting stories about how much fun we have doing the shows and how much fun the guest stars have. Tim Curry was an absolute blast the first time we had him doing the voice of Morlock in the rock opera episode of Millitary Koalas. We also have a great time working with animators like Andrea Deja (the genius behind such Disney characters as Gaston, Scar, Hercules, Jafar and Lilo). The great thing about Millitary Koalas is that we have such an amazing voice cast including myself and my older bro. The character of Manogator (one of the villains) who is half man half aligator is voiced by a great friend of ours Mr John Kassir (you might know him as the Crypt Keeper from Tales From The Crypt), he uses a slightly gruffer more sinister version of his "Crypt Keeper voice" for the character.

Killer Koalas From Another World

On April 5th 1992 we made a little horror comedy called Killer Koalas From Another World. It was filmed in Australia and was inspired by the dropbear myths. We shot it in the same location that was used for Howling III: The Marsupials (that was also filmed in Australia). We love all of the Howling movies. In our movie, a strange new shipment of koalas arrive in the outback-these koalas appear to look innocent and cute but are really vicious and bloodthirsty-these are called Dropbears. These monstrous marsupials are soon responsible for the disappearance of numerous tourists. The one tourist that didn't encounter one of the dropbears teams up with the local police department to track the dropbears down. We created some realistic animatronic dropbears for the movie- and they can be seen in our museum which has various props from our productions in it. The movie is very hard to find on vhs or dvd, it is a very rare and unique movie. It was entered in the local film contest, it won Best Short, Best Horror Film, Best Soundtrack, Best Score, and Best Special Effects. We've dabbled in the art of horror comedies before and are going to back to it in our upcoming horror comedy A Gastonian in Disneyworld, a homage to American Werewolf In London, my character is an actor who gets cast as Gaston in the production of BATB but ends up taking the role a little too seriously and turns into him. It's the first one to feature a transformation of me into a cartoon character.

We want to introduce you to someone very special. You know Audrey II from Little Shop Of Horrors? Well this is it's younger sibling Clarabelle. We made her to go with the Audrey II plush. Don't worry, she doesn't bite.

The World's Greatest Criminal Mind

Our all time favourite Disney baddie has always been Gaston but our second favourite is Professor Padriac Rattigan from The Great Mouse Detective. The Great Mouse Detective (released in 1986) is Disney's own unique take of the Sherlock Holmes stories. Basil was the title character- the Sherlock Holmes of the piece, his assistant was his Mr Watson, and Professor Ratigan was the Professor James Moriarty of the piece and Basil's arch enemy. He is an evil genius/mad scientist and also quite wealthy. He was voiced by the legendary horror actor Vincent Price. Vincent Price himself said that Rattigan was his absolute favourite role. We don't blame him, in fact when we were both 13 we went off to a friends house and watched it on video. We loved every minute of it and Ratigan was a blast. Our friend Tyrone The Terrible has Vincent Price as one of his idols, he also has Peter Lorre, Jack Nicholson and Tim Curry as his idols as well. Vincent Price's voice was just PERFECT in the Great Mouse Detective- so much creepiness and hamminess. Vincent Price was a horror movie legend, he played mainly evil mad scientist type roles. We might get the Great Mouse Detective on dvd, and so should you- it's a great movie. We loved Vincent Price as the voice of Ratigan, we also like him doing the monologue at the end of Alice Cooper's song Devil's Food and the rap he did for the hit Michael Jackson song "Thriller" especially his evil laugh at the end. At Halloween parties my friends had they would ALWAYS play Michael Jackson's Thriller to get things in a halloween mood, we would also play lots of halloween games. Ratigan is a rat, but he does NOT like being called or refered to as one- it upsets him. And if you've seen the movie- you know what happens when someone upsets him.....they end up as a meal for his pet cat Felicia!

Here's Vincent Price's memorable monologue from the Alice Cooper song Devil's Food.

"Leaving lepidoptera - please, don't touch the display, little boy, aha cute! Moving to the next aisle we have arachnida, the spiders, our.. finest collection. This friendly little devil is the heptothilidi, unfortunately harmless. Next to him, the nasty licosa raptoria, his tiny fangs cause creeping ulcerations of the skin *laugh*. And here, my prize, the Black Widow. Isn't she lovely?.. and so deadly. Her kiss is fifteen times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake. You see her venom is highly neurotoxic, which is to say that it attacks the central nervous system causing intense pain, profuse sweating, difficulty in breathing, loss of consciousness, violent convulsions and, finally.. death. You know what I think I love the most about her is her inborn need to dominate, possess. And as his empire crumbles, my precious Black Widow shall rise as his most fitting successor!"

The Dropbear: Real Or Fake?

Welcome to Myths From The Other Side. The segment where we examin the stories behind adifferent mythicals animal from across the globe. Today we are going down under to uncover the truth about the deadly dropbear. In Aussie folklore a dropbear is supposed to be a large, carnivorous almost vampric koala that "drops down" from the trees onto the heads of any victim that comes it's way. This is used as a tall tale that Australians used to scare, confuse or amuse tourists. We are quite facinated by this.

This is Killoala, one of the characters from our Creepy Critters range of Gremlins style plush animals. Killoala is a blue dropbear with a black stripes, a star on his forehead and a blood red marking on his stomach. In his "mutant" form he has fangs, devil horns, claws and black bat-like wings. Killoala has inspired by the Dropbear legend and the plush Werebears that the Hornby toy company made in the early 80's (the werebears were plush teddies that were reversible- you could turn their heads and paws inside out to "transform" them from cute to scary). The Creepy Critters range of plush toys were inspired by the 1980's horror comedy Gremlins.

This is Morlock the dropbear, one of the villains from our popular cartoon series Millitary Koalas. His voice is done by Tim Curry (who is known for his delightfully creepy, villainous but yet seductive voice). Morlock first appeared in the episode Rock N Load- which was a special musical episode done in the style of a rock opera. In it, Morlock (who was banished and sent to live down in the down Under Underworld by the Bunyip King) uses his special brand of dark magic to bring everyone's worst fears to life and turn the city into a city of nightmares. Morlock was "defeated" and was sent back to the down Underworld by the heroes. However he makes a return in Millitary Koalas: The Movie, and this time he's got something much bigger planned. Morlock's mustache and goatee is a nod to how some evil twins in tv and movies have a goatee like Spock's evil twin from that one episode of Star Trek and Buzz Lightyear's evil clone from an episode of Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command.

In April 5th, 1992 we produced a short horror flick called Killer Koalas From Another World. It was filmed in Australia and was inspired by the dropbear myths. We created animatronic dropbears especially for the movie. We entered the film in the local film festival, it won the following awards: Best Soundtrack, Best Score, Best FX, Best Short Film, and Best Horror Film. The animatronic dropbears used for the movie can be viewed in our museum of props from our films. The movie is very good and is also available on dvd- however it is quite hard to obtain.

Millitary Koalas The Movie: Bad Guy info.

A while back we asked fans of our show Military Koalas which bad guy they would love to see in a full length movie of the show. We asked them to vote for the bad guy of their choice, the bad guy choices were: Dingo Dan, Manogator (the half man half aligator), Draco the Lizard Man, or Morlock the Dropbear. And the bad guy who got the most votes was....Morlock the dropbear.

This is Morlock. He is a dropbear. Dropbears are basically vampire-like koalas that the Australians use as tall tales to scare tourists. Morlock the dropbear's voice is done by the great Tim Curry (who played Darkness in Legend). Morlock first appeared in the special rock opera episode of the show. Our good friend Tyrone The Terrible is a Tim Curry fan and a specialist in the art of writing villain songs (he wrote the Vizini villain song Inconcievable and many more villain songs including his own villain song, last August he and I worked on a villain song duet), he wrote the lyrics to Morlock's villain song from the rock opera special. In a musical, the villain song is a special song that is sung by the villain- sometimes it's about themselves and sometimes it's about their evil plan. . We dug deep into the dank, dark and spooky depts of the Nightmare Fuel and High Octane Nightmare Fuel pages to get inspirations for the dark dimension Morlock lives in known as the Down Under Underworld. Millitary Koalas: The Movie will be released in cinemas this weekend.
