Lycanthropy

One of our favourite subtopics in mythology has always been lycanthropy. It's so facinating. It dates back to Ancient Greece which is very cool. Now originally the word lycanthrope applied to wolves, but now it's used for almost any kind of werecreature really. Our friend the Master Of Oz feels a little bummed out that koalas never seem to get in on the act. Luckily we found a comic book just for him, it's a manga by the creators of dragonball and the main character is part werekoala part vampire. We gave him a copy of it for his birthday. Lycanthropy is indeed an interesting subject, there seems to be a different were-animal for each country in the world- for example over in Africa they have werelions.
