Oooh, you'll love that Toxic Love

Today's post is about one of our favourite voice actors, Mr Tim Curry. Several people know him from Rocky Horror Picture Show. He's got quite an impressive voice, it's sinister yet seductive. His other two memorable roles include Darkness in Legend, and Pennywise in It. His voice can be heard in animated features such as The Pebble And The Penguin, Beauty And The Beast: Enchanted Christmas and Ferngully. OUr friend Tyrone The Terrible is a huge Tim Curry fan and also a close friend of his. In fact, Tim Curry gave him tips on how to do villain roles back in the nineties.

Did you know that he was considered to do the voice of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series? He did some voice drafts but the producers found him too sinister. Mark Hamil got that part instead.

We heard his voice on an episode of Ben 10 Alien Force, he was one of the Forever Knights. Also a while ago before that we heard his voice on an episode of the Disney channel show the Proud Family- it was the one where Penny and her friends audition for an American Idol style show. The judges were the "real" Randy Jackson (who sounded suspiciously like Michael Jackson), Alicia Keyes (as the Paula Expy) and Perchival (voiced by Tim Curry) who is the Simon-like character who dishes out brutal honesty.

We also heard Tim's voice in the Mucha Lucha movie.

Tim Curry has one of the most unique voices in the animation buisness. It's evil but at the same time kind of seductive. Toxic Love is such a brilliant villain song, it's our favourite. The extended version of the song has "I feel good, a special kind of horny" in one part of the lyrics. Just have a good listen to that song, there's never been a song as arrousing as that one. No matter what role he's voicing, Tim Curry is living proof that evil can be sexy.
