Gargoyles - our friends in stone

Today on monster factfile we are going to look at our friends in stone. Of course I am refering to gargoyles, a very valuble part of our culture. Seen frequently in fantasy films or horror movies - these creatures are indeed rather facinating. Examples including Disney's Hunchback Of Notre Dame, the Lovers Vow segment of Tales From The Darkside and of course the animated series Gargoyles.

Description:

Gargoyles are grotesques that are stone by day and warriors by night, they have claws, sharp teeth, horns, wings, and either grey, light purplish, or almost green or light blue skin. They are of the lawful good alignment.

Appearance:

They have grey, light purplish or almost green or light blue skin, have wings, claws, sharp fangs and horns. Their eyes sometimes glow when angry.

Habitat:

Gargoyles can be found on the roof of any catheredial. But they can also been seen on various buidlings too including skyscrapers.

Abilities:

They are very good climbers, they also have enhanced senses and are very agile and strong too - some can fly and some glide. They can also rejuevanate their health by going into a stone slumber state which involves them turning to stone and helps heals them if they are sick and also kind of halts the aging process.

Behaviour traits:

Gargoyles are of the lawful good alignment (with the exception of Demona) and rarely ever attack humans, as it is not their nature.

Likability:

As gargoyles act as loyal protectors of the city at night you'll find that they are quite likable and in more ways than one
