Dan McCloud: Makeup Artist Extraordinare

My brother's best friend Dan McCloud works in the makeup buisness, he does the makeup for our various productions, tv shows, and movies. His work is quite good- and all his creature makeup designs are incredibly realistic. He studies at the same makeup school Rick Baker and Rob Botin used to go to. His idol is fellow makeup artist Rick Baker who is one of the all time greats when it comes to movie makeup. And we like his work too- we thought the work he did on Thriller was brilliant especially the werecat (some say it's a werewolf, but we say it's a werecat) and the zombies, and also the makeup he did for American Werewolf In London was stunning and to this day it still remains as one of the best werewolf movies- the transformation scene was pure gold (there hasn't been a werewolf movie with a transformation THAT good yet, they can try but AWIL's famous transformation scene reins supreme). But probably the best makeup work Rick has ever done is How The Grinch Stole Christmas which is one of all time Jim Carrey movies. The grinch makeup he did was amazing, I mean you couldn't tell it was Jim.

His most recent film is our movie adaptation of the first of the Ratchet and Clank video game series. The makeups he does for this film are the main character Ratchet the lombax (played by my brother) and his arch nemesis Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman Drek (played by Tyrone The Terrible's brother Jake). Ratchet is a lombax (he looks like a much taller version of Pikachu) and Drek is a blarg (a race which are sort of like Klingons) with very illuminous blue eyes.

These are the blue schleral contact lenses that Jake DeSoto (that's Tyrone's brother) wears as Chairman Drek in Ratchet and Clank.

We also did a short lived children's show called Chumsley's Clubhouse and yes....that was me in the big fat furry Chumsley the werejohncandy costume.

Be sure to see our latest films which are the Crimson Chin movie starring Sam Leno, the dark comedy the Left Behinders, the fantasy epic Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog (based on the tv series by Saban Entertainment), and the action packed sci fi film Ratchet and Clank.
